A Bronx man is accused of stealing more than $4,000 from people who live in a homeless shelter.

Prosecutors say 24-year-old David Aguero told shelter residents they had to pay him to secure apartments using city-issued housing vouchers.

Investigators say Aguero was working as a housing specialist.

He now faces grand larceny charges.
