Police responded to a capsized boat on the Long Island Sound.

The incident happened Sunday.

Darien police worked along with the Stamford Police Department Marine Unit to assist those on board and ensure they were safe.

It was not immediately clear what caused the vessel to capsize or how many people were rescued.
