        Bronx community marks 1-year since the Oct. 7 attacks on Israel

        Out of an abundance of caution, there will be an uptick in security at local houses of worship in the next few days.

        The Riverdale Y will be holding a livestream event later today to honor the lives lost on Oct. 7. Dozens of other ceremonies will be held to recognize the somber occasion.
        Out of an abundance of caution, there will be an uptick in security at local houses of worship in the next few days.
        Gov. Kathy Hochul says throughout the next few days, and through Yom Kippur Friday and Saturday, there will be a heavy police presence at synagogues, yeshivas, community centers, mosques and major transit centers.
