A Bridgeport event Tuesday highlighted women in tech.
A panel called Women Shaping the Future of Innovation took place at the Bijou Theatre. The panel is part of
CT Tech Week, the state's premier technology and innovation gathering, which is also being held in Bridgeport for the first time.
The panel featured female founders, leaders and tech executives. Attendees were also able to network after the discussion.
Organizers say the goal is to build confidence in women and encourage them to enter the tech industry.
"We have the ability as women to really excel and to take all of our multitasking abilities. And the fact that we can build things locally. There's so much support here and they are women here that are willing to help you, to give you a voice and guide you through the process," says
Ayo Haynes.
Haynes will also be holding an event focusing on AI at the Ursa Cafe Thursday.
