Bridgeport firefighters will come out later Monday morning in a show of support for one of their own, who was shot and killed.
At 9 a.m. Monday, Bridgeport firefighters say they will stand outside the Golden Hill Courthouse in Bridgeport, hoping justice will be served today when Jabari Bush of West Haven is arraigned.
Bush is charged in the shooting death of 41-year-old Terrence Cramer, who was shot around 2 a.m. Saturday on Feeley Street in Stratford. Sources say the incident stemmed from a domestic dispute.
Cramer had served as a Bridgeport firefighter for nearly 10 years. Bush was taken into custody in Derby.
Those who knew and worked alongside Cramer are still shocked by what happened.
“Terry was just a solid guy. A solid guy. Quiet, humble, kind. I mean, all the things you want in not just a firefighter, but a human being, right? He was just a good dude,” said Dave Dobbs, president of Bridgeport Firefighters IAFF Local 834.
Cramer leaves behind two boys.
Bush is charged with murder, home invasion and criminal possession of a firearm. He is being held on a $2 million bond and is expected to appear in court today.
