A robbery at a local deli in Pelham Bay was captured on surveillance footage early Friday morning.
The incident unfolded quickly at the A&A Deli on Westchester Avenue, where a group of robbers executed a targeted plan.
News 12 crew captured exclusive video as one man hops over the counter and another one follows. They went straight to the register. The register opens, and they ravage through the it taking everything. As they're doing this one of them stays put by the door with the terrified deli worker who was there opening up shop.
The deli worker didn't want to speak on camera but says he tried unsuccessfully to trap one of the robbers on their way out by closing the door. They all got away with $1,100 in cash, the worker says.
Workers at the deli tell News 12 they are familiar with the five of the men who ravaged through the store and have given all the information they have to police.
