A boil water advisory in Edison Township has been lifted after a broken water main was repaired.
The water main break occurred on Wednesday near Woodbridge Avenue. Officials say a private contractor was working at a construction site at Middlesex College and hit a 20-inch water main.
Officials say that the boil water advisory was in place as a precaution until tests deemed the water safe to consume.
