Well, it's time for the best of New Jersey this morning this morning. I'm taking you to Rutherford's busy downtown where Matera's offers a taste of Italy and some must have sandwiches. All right, it's time to make one of these specialty sandwiches. Danny Morero is here. All right. What are we gonna make? Ok. So this is our signature sandwich. We call it the Belleville Classic and uh Joe is gonna start it off by adding oil and vinegar dressing the sandwich. Then after that, we're gonna add our ham, our salami, our provolone lettuce, tomato and onions to top it all. What kind of seller is this? This is our number one seller. This has a little back story to it. We call it the Belleville Classic. That's uh to honor uh the experience that uh one of our owners, Mike, he worked at ad in Bellville for a lot of years and got his experience before opening up this place. And so it's got a little Jersey twist, obviously, in this very busy downtown here in Rutherford. I wonder, obviously people are coming in on a daily basis for lunch for a sandwich like this. It's also part of a, a catering order potentially as well. We could make uh the Italians uh a regular eight inch sub all the way up to a six and you guys recently celebrated 10 years here. What's it been like being a part of this community here in Rutherford? It's amazing. We're constantly innovating and bringing up new ideas, new specials to keep up with the trends and make sure everybody gets their most delicious food. They can. All right. And you're not shy with the amount of uh no, no, no, we're not, we're not shy at all. We're not shy at all. I'm not shy either. So coming up, we're gonna try this sandwich. So stay with us.

Made. It is time once again for the best of New Jersey. And this morning I take you to Rutherford's busy downtown where Matera's offers a taste of Italy. Some must have sandwiches and more. It's time for a hot sandwich. Now, Danny Morero, what are we making here? Ok. So this is a setup for our famous 87 which is a chicken cutlet, vodka Parmesan with the fresh mozzarella. OK? So the chicken cutlet, you must buy those. No, no. We make everything fresh in house from the bread. We get the mozzarella delivered daily from Vinnie Mutz and our chicken cutlet. It is breaded and fried. Pretty much every hour, breaded and fried, every hour. Every hour is our number one sell, we sell more chicken cutting than anybody. So it's only right that we have them come out every hour fresh and once the sandwich is prepped, what's next? OK. So once we prep it here in the front of the deli, we bring it in the back to our chef and then our chef will top it with our signature vodka sauce that we also bring in house. And we also sell retail. If you guys wanna come pick it up as part of the market, as part of the market. So we finish it up with the vodka sauce in the oven for about 5, 10 minutes. All right, let's go check out that vodka sauce and uh any secret to the vodka sauce just between you. We can't, we can't get that information out. All right. So it only takes a few minutes there in the oven. Yes. Come out. You see that melted mozzarella. The sauce, everything is perfection right there. That puts us apart from everybody else. Constantly, constantly looking for local ingredients, you know, to make our, our food better and better every time. All right. Well, I'm gonna judge how, well you guys stand apart coming up because what time do they, they're looking for?

It's time for the best of New Jersey. And this morning I take you to Rutherford's busy downtown where Meras offers a taste of Italy. Some must have sandwiches and much more. We've got Italian classics here. We've got mouthwatering sandwiches. Danny, what do we have here? Tell me about the eggplant first. Ok. So eggplant is one of our signature dishes right here. Ok. What kind of eggplant? This is a fresh eggplant every day, breaded and fried it. The stuff with the ricotta. It's all main marinara sauce, all homemade stuff, all fresh ingredients. How much of a difference does that make? That makes all the difference right there. Look at that. Amazing right out of the oven. We're making it with some panty marinara. You can't go wrong with that for dinner. No, not at all. And it's a healthy portion. This is a healthy sized sandwich. Tell me about the sandwich. Ok. So this is our signature Bellville Classic. Look at our Italian so fresh premium imported cold cut. This looks too good to touch. I'm, I'm gonna hold off on this one first, but I, I gotta try this one. I gotta be honest. Try this. What do we have here? This is our number one Sutter. By far. This uh famous 87 chicken vodka, Parmesan. OK. This is the chicken vodka part. This has the fresh mozzarella, fresh mozzarella, our signature homemade vodka sauce and our fresh bri bread. And you make the cut. Let's here. Make the cottage every day. They come out every hour from the fry, dozens and dozens of cutlets, hundreds of hundreds of cutts as you guys saw in the kitchen that vodka. So this is amazing. The food is fantastic. The portions are healthy as, uh, the owners say you walk in as a stranger and you walk out as a family. Perfect. That's how I feel. We're family now. Thank you. Thank you daddy. And in case you couldn't understand me, I said this is amazing. It was amazing. Definitely a place you gotta try.
