Who doesn't love a good steak. First thing in the morning when it comes to the best of New Jersey, anything goes news. 12, New Jersey's Tony Caputo and photojournalist Rudy Bod are at a steakhouse in Union County. Tony. I saw that picture. You tweeted that before and after of that prime rib looked pretty good. You know, this is the first time we're doing best in New Jersey together. So we wanted to bring in steak for you, buddy and trust me, I devoured it. I'm in a prime rib coma right now. I mean, 6 15, that steak was gone and it was the best steak I ever had in my life. We had La Tori steakhouse, Colombian steakhouse here in Elizabeth. I got Mariana with me. She is the manager. It's a steakhouse, but it's much more than just a steakhouse is, we also have seafood. So that is making some in the back. He's the owner and he's making it up. Let's go back there, man. Thank you very much. And Rody Boat is leading the way through the door into the kitchen and there, Cesar getting things ready for us. What do you got buddy. I mean, I'm in a prime rib copa right now and now you're making seafood. Yes, I'll go to you. That is 1 24 different uh, flavor in America. And I have cheri in uh one red sauce. Ok. Does the chep in bean sauce and that's in uh one cocktail with uh tilapia? Ok. That Tila, it's delicious. Yeah. And look at this, we are ready to go, man. What is that? That is uh one casola seafood. I mean, this is crazy. Now you're a steakhouse and then you're dropping all the seafood. I have a different option, right? I have a different option for the customer and they make it uh called uh another one with chip and pin sauce. That is, that, that looks delicious. And if that's anywhere near the prime hood, I just forget it. Oh, that shrimp in there. Oh, I love shrimp. Love shrimp. Look at this. So, so this is what I'd be ordering. I'd get it just like that. That's how it would be presented to me out there. Yes. Look at that. That's beautiful. Looks good. Fantastic. You can't beat it. LA to which means the tower, the tower is, they're built in, does he sort of built in Elizabeth? The second place is making an Elizabeth. They have 200 yards old and they are too much time with the one beer company and I have one tower in the jar. Fantastic. You doing something right? No doubt about it. How about a good steak. First thing in the morning. It's best of New Jersey. So it's perfectly fine. Yeah, exactly. Anything goes right. New South. New Jersey's, Tony Caputo and photojournalist Rudy Boat are at a steakhouse in Union County this morning. So, Tony, you already had what a rib eye this morning? I tell you what, I learned a hard lesson. I ate that pretty much the entire rib eye and I'm paying the price right now, but it was too good. I couldn't stop, you know, and food shows, they just eat a little bit and they move on. I could not stop. It was fantastic. Lara Colombian steakhouse, Elizabeth Avenue here in Elizabeth Cesar has been with us. He's the owner, John is joining him here at the grill. You got the tomahawk ready to go, which is a big, beautiful steak that we've seen before on the morning show here on New Jersey. But you know how to flavor it up. You're going charcoal first and then what's the next move there? The sign for the cooking before more with the good and the finish is the shark hole. So you smoke it on the wood first and then you move it over to the charcoal to get that flavor. Yes. Now, this is something that you've been doing for quite some time. You've only opened this place three months ago. But you've been cooking for a long time. Yes. Uh, I'm, I'm, I'm, I work for the restaurants. Uh, they may be two or three or 10 years old. So, if somebody had to teach you along, it's a lot of time. Now when I ate that rib eye, I said this is fantastic. I'm gonna try and make it at home. I said, what, how did you do? He said, I can't tell you that. I can't tell you that you got secrets that the, it's possible you have your secret for your home. Your wife are happy with this. You don't want to make cesar steaks in my backyard and sell them down there, you talk to them and I love it. Fantastic place. Now, this whole Elizabeth Avenue stretch that we have here in Elizabeth is fantastic. This is just one of many restaurants. Jennifer Costa is the Ceo of Elizabeth Chamber and Tourism. And you were telling me earlier, Jen that if you want to try foods from around the world, Elizabeth Avenue is the place to be absolutely here in Elizabeth. You could travel the globe without a passport on the Avenue. We have over 70 restaurants representing 15 different countries. So there's truly a dining destination here awaiting it's a cultural experience, not just amazing cuisine, but you can respectively step into that country. Well, I would respectively love to have another steak here, Jen. Thank you very much. Fantastic, Jen set us up here, which is great. Like I always tell you guys, I don't pick the places I just come in and they say you're going, here we go. We have a great time. So Jen did a great job. Our folks back at news did a great job. We're going to touch base again next hour. Cook up a few more steaks along the way. It's a great way to have breakfast on a Tuesday morning. It may as well be a Colombian holiday with what I'm looking at here. Now, this is unbelievable what we're seeing on this table. La Torre Steakhouse here in Elizabeth Avenue in Elizabeth. We have Mariana Jaramillo is the manager here. We have Jennifer Costa. She's the CEO of the Elizabeth Chamber in Tourism and we have the owner here, Cesar, Arango Cesar. I mean, let me shake your hand, man. That was the best steak I ever ate in my life. It was fantastic. Just go around the table and tell us what you put out here because this is amazing. Go ahead. Now, that's a different option for the people, right? The customer. I like it. The typical New York. I have the home preparation to speak Kenya. We your favorite. Yeah, that's his favorite. Your flavor is good. And uh this combination with bacon, different peppers, different vegetables and it's amazing, amazing flavor. We saw the time I had the rib eye, which was unbelievable. Uh What is this London Royal type of thing that is uh typical Argentina? OK. Right. And you see here for a lot of people is coming to a different country, right? This is the USA America is different flavor, different foods, different people and try, I have a different notion for everybody, but you have absolutely nailed it. I mean, and as Jennifer pointed out earlier, you want to eat different countries in one spot. Elizabeth Avenue is the place I've seen the rest of this guy's plan. It's a big plan. There's a lot more going on around here than just this fantastic steakhouse. Say sorry. We wish you the best man to truly the best of New Jersey. Well done. Thank you. Well done.
