Tuesday means it's time for another edition of Best of New Jersey. And this time around meteorologist Mike Rizzo gets some great classics with fun twists at Inner City Cafe in Orange. We're here at inner city cafe in Orange, New Jersey with Doctor Fatima Turner. And this place is beautiful. Now you have a connection to your community here, right? Yes. Yes, I do. So, I've lived here for almost 20 years. I work here. I raised my kids here and I open inner city cafe in the middle of a community in the middle of COVID. Um just to offer a space for the community to come together to me to address any concerns. We have gatherings here, coffee and conversations. Our mayor has been here as superintendent concerns that the community have. We can gather here over coffee and have a conversation. It's a hub. Hey, you have an event space too for rent. It's an event space. So we also serve as a e event space. You can have birthday parties, you can have um holiday parties, you can have um baby showers, whatever you want. You can have it here at inner city cafe. It's it's beautifully decorated. You, you know, the food and the drink here, like excellent. I can't wait to showcase that to you. Stay tuned. In time for another edition of Best of New Jersey. This time, meteorologist Mike Rizzo got some great classics with fun twists at Inner City Cafe in Orange. I'm back with Doctor Fatima Turner, the owner of this beautiful establishment here in Orange. And we have so many different types of coffees. Can you tell us what's the most popular one you have? Well, probably the most popular is our Brazilian. Um The Brazilian coffee is pretty popular. Um and maybe the Colombian, but the Brazilian is pretty good because it has like tones of chocolate. Yeah. Then we have the Ethiopian, which is my favorite because it has hints of fruit. Oh, ok. So you get a little bit of like your sweet and savory kind of what you can make out of coffee. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. So when someone comes in orders a coffee, uh there are different types of lattes they can get. What, what are your selections? Yes. We have tons of different latte flavors. So we have um probably our most popular is our lavender um is our and our match. Our match are pretty popular and we've been told that we have the best chive in this area. So we do a banana chai, we do a vanilla chai, we do a ba a, a lavender chai. Um and we try to make everything pink and cute because we're pink and cute. All right. Well, I can't wait to check it out. You know, we're gonna have a, a beautiful display of the food and the drink coming up right here, just a couple of blocks away from the orange train station. So it's easy for you to just even get here even if you're not in the area. So stay tuned more on this place coming up.

It's Tuesday and that means it is time for another spot that is considered the best of New Jersey. And this time meteorologist Mike Rizzo got some great classics with fun twist at inner city Cafe in orange. My goodness. Look at this spread. Fatima. Tell me, what do we have here. What is that? That was prepared by our chef Rudy. That is our Cajun chicken and waffles. Cajun chicken and waffles. Yes. OK. What else we got over here prepared by uh our brilliant pastry chef Aesha. We have strawberry cheese danish and a strawberry cupcake. The way that she described this is that comes in with just the flour and the dough and suddenly this comes out it's like magic, right? And of course, if you don't want the chicken and waffles, I see. You got the bagel, rainbow bagel. And this, what is this? That is one of my favorites. That's strawberry lemonade adorned with a cute little strawberry and rose shaped ice cube. And you have different flavors. We have different flavors. Yes. Oh, that is awesome watermelon mint. We have our uh everyone's favorite dragon fruit Lychee. We have peach mango. We have lavender Yeah. So a huge variety here at inner city cafe. And listen one question though. Last question, when someone walks in the store, what kind of experience do you want them to have when they're in here? I want them to experience art, culture, love and just inner city cafe. It's a connection right here at inner city cafe. You got amazing food, amazing drink. You have to check this place out.
