He said he’s never seen anything like the “tremendous amount of rain.” Things ultimately turned around, with what he describes as a “spectacular” August.
Labor Day weekend is expected to be a beautiful one, and Long Island has a plethora of places to choose from, including Halfway Down on the Nautical Mile in Freeport.
“Let’s all stay out of trouble, have fun, enjoy the weather, look forward to a better year," said owner Hugh Carroll.
Riptides in Long Beach is open through Columbus Day.
