Residents are being urged to use caution after a black bear was spotted near a popular park in Norwalk.

A black bear was seen walking across the street from Cranbury Park’s entrance.

City officials are urging people not to approach the animal.

They also say residents should never feed bears.

Officials recommend keeping garbage in secure containers and removing bird feeders until late fall to avoid attracting wildlife.
