Maintenance crews on the Bear Mountain Bridge have crafted a solution for ospreys nesting atop its towers.

For years, the birds built nests that dropped branches onto the road below, forcing crews to remove them.

The ospreys kept rebuilding. Now, a custom-built nest platform offers a safer home for the birds.

Falcons also nest on the bridge.
