        Beacon man pleads guilty to attempted assault caught on camera in Poughkeepsie

        Rakim Paulin is expected to be sentenced in January.

        A Beacon man admitted to a violent attack caught on camera last year in Poughkeepsie, according to authorities.
        Rakim Paulin pled guilty to attempted assault for striking a man with his car and then chasing him with a machete.
        He also pled guilty to drug possession.
        Paulin faces 19 years in prison and 8 years of post-release supervision.
        He's expected to be sentenced in January.
