Laurie Schacht, the president and chief toy officer at The Toy Insider, has reviewed many toys in her career. When it comes to STEAM toys on the market, she says, "kids are learning sometimes difficult subjects in a really fun way."
The Toy Insider put together its STEM 10 list with some options of toys that teach.
On the list, The Smithsonian 3D LED Solar System. Kids can put it on their ceiling or wall and use it as a nightlight while they learn about the solar system.
Another light up option, The Shine Bright Light Box. With this toy, kids learn about shapes and colors for under $25.
