Educators at the Learning Experience Academy of Early Education in Bayridge say a new curriculum called Little Engineers helps students build a lifetime of skills.
Faculty members say this course works preschoolers' creativity, problem solving skills, fine motor skills and most importantly, their ability to work as a team and build confidence.
"We are building on not just their academic learning, but also their social and emotional growth as well. We're giving them the resources and tools they need to be successful later in life." said Lynnann Zazzali, owner of The Learning Experience.
Educators say Little Engineers course runs once a week for 30 minutes for about a three- to four-month period. When the course ends, it's followed by another interactive course.
"Right now, we have little engineers, we have little musicians, we have little athletes." said Zazzali.
