WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

Today is the last "Hotober" day with temps around 80 degrees. Record highs could be challenged or broken. The record high is 80, set back in 2017, and the forecast high is 81 for White Plains.

A storm system brings rain after 10 p.m., that will last into Wednesday midday.

Rain may come down in batches, along with breezy winds, and isolated non-severe thunderstorms.

After the rain moves out, cooler and drier air will move in for Wednesday afternoon.

Temps get quite cool for Thursday, where some areas will struggle to get out of the 50s.

Friday and Saturday are looking great with my Pick of the Week being Saturday for seasonally delightful conditions.

Sunday into Monday may have us dealing with another round of wet weather from a system sliding up the Eastern Seaboard.
