Michael Bielawa, an award-winning author and historian, has worked at the Bridgeport Public Library for nearly three decades.
He has written multiple books about baseball including "Bridgeport Baseball," "Baseball Pioneers, 1850–1870: The Clubs and Players Who Spread the Sport Nationwide," and "Baseball in Baton Rouge."
But Bielawa's interests also take him to the darker side of history — the wicked and the paranormal. He has published two books on the topic, "Wicked Bridgeport" and "Wicked New Haven." Another title, "Haunted Waterbury & the Naugatuck Valley," will be available in August.
He spoke with News 12 recently about his books and the walking tour that he hosts.
Check out his story, Bridgeport's UFO Legacy: Men in Black and the Albert K. Bender Story, on the Bridgeport Public Library website.
