Black Swan Nail & Spa is welcoming customers again in a temporary location in Orange after a fire ripped through the business last weekend.
Customers were still able to get their nails done this Friday afternoon.
"I can't believe I'm here," Kim Browe says. "I am absolutely amazed by the resilience and persistence they've shown."
The fire gutted the salon's original location at 519 Boston Post Road. The town helped the owners reopen at a temporary location in a vacant building a few blocks away at 501 Boston Post Road.
"Everything will be OK," owner Fei says. "A lot of people helped us get here."
Within just six days of the fire, the business was able to get back up and running.
"It's huge," Orange Fire Marshal James Vincent says. "We try to do whatever we can to help the residents and businesses to strive because that's what we're here for."
The salon says it hopes to reopen its original location in two to three months. But until then, its owner is just thankful no one was injured in the fire.
"I received a lot of messages asking me how everything was going," Fei says. "I want to tell my loyal customers, ‘Thank you for your support.’"
The exact cause of the fire is still under investigation. Fire officials have said it appeared to be accidental.
