A significant disruption occurred earlier this morning on Route 139 near the Holland Tunnel due to an emergency water main break, causing substantial traffic delays for commuters.
Crews filled a large hole created by the break and will repave the area. The incident resulted in miles of traffic congestion during the morning commute, but the eastbound lanes have since reopened east of Jersey Avenue.
