A school bus headed to Rockland BOCES was involved in a crash with a van in New City, sending seven students to hospitals for evaluation.

The accident happened on Germonds Road between Gerlach and Germonds Presbyterian Church. Officials say the bus was going east and van was going west but somehow ended up in the eastbound lane.

Officials say there do not appear to be any serious injuries, but multiple people were transported as a precaution.

Germonds Road has since reopened.
