A 50-year-old man was injured during a shooting in Clason Point, police say.

A heavy police presence took over the area near 1722 Randall Ave. just before 3:45 p.m. Wednesday.

News 12 cameras captured multiple shell casing markers on the ground, surrounded by crime scene tape.

The NYPD says the man suffered a gunshot wound to the left leg.

Paramedics took him to Jacobi Hospital, where he is expected to recover, according to police.
