Video obtained by News 12 captures the moment a car exploded after catching fire in Longwood. The FDNY says six firefighters were hospitalized.
The FDNY was called to 955 Westchester Ave. just after 7 p.m. Wednesday.
The injured firefighters are being evaluated at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi, according to the FDNY. The extent of their injuries is unknown.
The Fire Marshal says a firetruck was damaged in the explosion and is being towed from the scene.
