The fourth annual "Reindeer Games" tournament kicked off at Puglio Park in Bridgeport Saturday.
The holiday lacrosse tourney honors Jimmy McGrath, a Fairfield Prep student athlete who was fatally stabbed at a Shelton house party in 2022.
Around 50 teams participated this year with boys and girls from third grade to high school.
"We want to help with the crisis that we have with mental health...So I just would like to thank everybody for their generosity...It's our turn to give back," said Kevin McGrath, father of Jimmy.
The McGrath Foundation presented a $5,000 check to Bridgeport Youth Lacrosse and Bridgeport Rescue Mission.
