11h agoNYPD Officer Didarul Islam is being remembered in The Bronx as funeral plans get underway at Parkchester Jame Masjid.
The 36-year-old was one of four people killed in Monday night’s Midtown mass shooting. Islam spent 3 1/2 years with the NYPD.
He leaves behind a wife, two young sons, and a third child on the way.
His funeral is set for Thursday morning with a prayer vigil scheduled tomorrow night at the 47th Precinct.
The heartbreak is also felt by the Bangladeshi community in The Bronx. Islam lived in Parkchester.
