        3 manhole covers 'pop;' one explodes in White Plains

        Officials say three manhole covers "popped" and one exploded in White Plains.
        News 12 confirmed with the Department of Public Safety that the pothole that exploded due to a build up of gas.
        The pothole that exploded is located on Martine Avenue.
        "The gas had been building and building and building, and it was a massive explosion. We thought actually someone had rammed a truck into the building," said Department of Public Safety Commissioner David Chong.
        Some other people News 12 spoke with said they believed it was an earthquake, saying that the explosion caused the walls to tremor.
        No infrastructure or people were harmed.
