        30 people, including 4 children, displaced from Irvington fire receiving assistance from Red Cross

        Flames were so bad and difficult to bring under control that one of the buildings collapsed.

        Thirty people, including four children, from nine families who were displaced from a fire affecting several homes on Montgomery Street in Irvington late Tuesday afternoon are now receiving assistance from the Red Cross.
        Flames were so bad and difficult to bring under control that one of the buildings collapsed.
        Everyone survived. News 12 was told that an elderly man was injured and taken to University Hospital in Newark for treatment. There is no update yet on his condition.
