ICE agents took three people into custody on Cortlandt Street in Sleepy Hollow early today, village officials said.

The mayor said local police were notified around 5:30 a.m. that ICE would be serving a judge-signed warrant for a person with a criminal record in New York.

ICE provided police with a copy of the warrant before taking that person and two others into custody without incident, officials said. It is unclear if the two other people also had criminal records.

The mayor said the police department was not involved in executing the warrant and wants to promote an environment where people feel safe in the village.
