3 men indicted in $110K Bronx auto theft spree
Three men accused of stealing more than $110,000 worth of cars and auto parts in The Bronx have been charged in a 201-count indictment.
Prosecutors say Antony Arlequin Salcedo, Roberto Castillo and a defendant yet to be apprehended engaged in a conspiracy victimizing around 50 Bronx residents.
The offenses went on from May 2025 through October 2025, according to prosecutors.
Investigators say the group scouted locations, stole vehicles from the street, then used them to commit additional thefts.
Police found Arlequin Salcedo in possession of a stolen car during a separate investigation on March 17.
A search of the area led to the discovery of a box containing 27 airbags valued at over $25,000.
Investigators determined that 12 of the airbags were linked to complaint reports made that same day.
The combined value of the stolen vehicle and the airbags exceeded $50,000, according to prosecutors.
Antony Arlequin Salcedo and Roberto Castillo were arraigned on Wednesday.
The charges against them include grand larceny, criminal possession of stolen property and conspiracy.
