Two students from the Renaissance High School for the Arts have made strong art portfolios, including pieces seen at prestigious places.
Those places include the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the U.S. Capitol building.
Prisca Baodu and Sally Almaklani are the creators of this artwork and are both winners of the National Congressional Art competition.
“It’s an amazing feeling honestly. Producing art like that is a faster way for the world to find out how I'm feeling and the story I'm trying to spread awareness to,” said Sally, who is entering her senior year this fall.
Both artists have already sold their work to buyers. Prisca, who is the valedictorian for Renaissance High School’s 2024 graduating class, will study health sciences at SUNY Stony Brook next year.
