Crews from Veolia Water and NJDOT are working on a water main break in the left lane of Route 17 North near milepost 4.7 in Mahwah.

Two lanes are closed as numerous vehicles remain on scene to assist with repairs. NJDOT crews are maintaining safe road conditions while Veolia prepares to fix the leak.

There is currently no timetable for completing the repair. No word yet on what caused the break, but cold weather likely contributed.
