Two firefighters and a cat were treated after a fire broke out at a home Saturday in West Milford.
Officials say crews were called to the residence on Otterhole Road just before 10 a.m.
All six companies in West Milford responded along with Butler Ladder and Ringwood Tanker.
A water supply was also established at a pond nearby.
The family’s cat suffered severe smoke inhalation, according to officials.
Both firefighters were treated for injuries that are not considered life-threatening.
The cause of the fire has yet to be confirmed.
