The Orange County Health Department has confirmed two cases of measles in the county.
Deputy Commissioner Lisa Lahiff told News 12 that the cases involve two children from different families who had recently travelled to Europe.
Lahiff said both babies were under the age of 12 months and were too young to receive the measles vaccine. Lahiff said she expects the two children to recover.

Health officials warned that measles spreads quickly and can be serious, especially for babies and young children. They urged parents to ensure their children are vaccinated, with the first dose recommended at 12 to 15 months and the second at 4 to 6 years.
They also advised families traveling with unvaccinated children to avoid areas with outbreaks.
Nationwide, measles cases have surpassed 1,000 this year, according to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and state health departments. Many are linked to an outbreak in West Texas, but most states have reported cases. This could become the worst year for measles in the U.S. since its declared elimination in 2000.
