They plan on using their “treated” salt on the roads – which is more effective in colder temperatures, according to Dave Paganelli, Yorktown’s highway superintendent.
Yorktown officials are urging residents to avoid any unnecessary travel. If you do need to be out on the roads, make sure you're giving snowplows enough room.
