A traffic stop on the New York State Thruway in Yonkers led to a drug bust and the arrest of two Schenectady residents, according to state police.

Troopers say they pulled over a vehicle last week and discovered cocaine and fentanyl inside.

Investigators say the drugs were packaged in multiple envelopes.

Authorities identified the driver as Brad Columbus and the passenger as Danielle Ostrom, both of Schenectady.

State police say the pair faces multiple drug-related charges in connection with the seizure.

Columbus and Ostrom were arraigned in Yonkers City Court and later released.

Both are scheduled to appear in court at a future date.
