The Yonkers Waterfront Live Summer Concert Series has officially come to an end, signaling that summer is coming to a close.

The final concert featured live music and drew attendees to the city's waterfront for one last evening of entertainment before the season transitions into fall.

"This has been a great series," says Sara Brody, executive director of Yonkers Downtown B.I.D. "It's a Friday night activity. It's something people look forward to. The businesses look forward to it also because people frequent [them] whether it's before or after."

While the summer concert series has concluded, there is another opportunity to experience live music for free.

Yonkers Riverfest, Westchester's largest music and arts festival, is back. It's taking place on Sept. 19, from noon to 7 p.m.

This year's headliner is Lisa Lisa. The event will have three stages and more than 140 vendors.
