The director of the Yonkers Office for the Aging says seniors should be prepared, especially if bad weather leaves them stuck at home.

Seniors should have a plan to get food and medication if help isn’t available.

The director also stresses the risk of slips and falls, which is why doctors at Phelps Hospital say seniors should leave the shoveling to younger family members or neighbors.
