The Hudson River Museum in Yonkers welcomed the Lunar New Year with its 7th annual celebration, blending centuries‑old traditions with modern cultural experiences for visitors of all ages.
This year marks the arrival of the Year of the Fire Horse.
Families and visitors explored everything from a planetarium presentation on Chinese sky lore to hands‑on workshops in origami and calligraphy, as well as several dances and performances.
Newer cultural expressions were also represented, including a performance from a rising K‑pop dance group.
The celebration has become the museum’s most‑attended single‑day event of the year, offering an inclusive environment to learn about and enjoy the customs surrounding Lunar New Year.
