The woman killed when a car crashed into Meg's Grill in Lavallette on Saturday has been identified as Ursula Keating, the wife of the Silverton fire chief, according to the Lavallette police chief.
Keating was killed when a 93-year-old woman attempting to park outside the restaurant apparently pressed the accelerator instead of the brake just before 11:30 a.m., according to police.
The vehicle crashed into the restaurant, injuring seven other people inside. Police said the driver suffered minor injuries.
The damage to the restaurant was boarded up Sunday as people stopped by to visit the owner, leave flowers and pay their respects to Keating.
Meg's Grill offered condolences to Keating's family in a message Sunday morning.
"It is with immeasurable sadness we give our condolences to your family. I can not imagine the loss you are feeling and my heart and my thoughts are with you all," the restaurant said.
Several local fire companies also offered condolences.
