A Putnam County woman is dead after a three-car crash Tuesday morning.

Officials say Helen Gambino was trying to make a left turn from Dingle Ridge Road onto Danbury Road in Southeast.

The 87-year-old's car was hit by a BMW heading east.

Gambino's car overturned and hit another car. She died at the hospital.

The BMW driver had non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the other car was not hurt.
