Police are investigating after a 57-year-old woman was found dead inside an apartment building on the Grand Concourse on Friday afternoon.

Authorities say officers responded to 1236 Grand Concourse, where they discovered the woman unconscious with trauma to her head and torso.

EMS arrived at the scene and pronounced her dead.

No arrests have been made, and police have not yet released the woman's identity.
