An 87-year-old Northport woman is dead after drowning in a pool Wednesday morning, according to Suffolk County police.

Police say a 911 caller reported finding the woman unresponsive in an in-ground pool at a home on Devon Place around 8 a.m.

The woman was identified as Eileen Specht, who lived at the residence.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.
