A woman was assaulted while riding the 2 train in Crotona Park East.
Police say it happened last Tuesday just before 8 p.m. As the train doors opened, someone punched the 50-year-old woman. She sustained a laceration and was taken to Montefiore Hospital by EMS.
The assaulter left the train and ran off.
