Suffolk County Police Crime Stoppers is asking for the public's help in identifying a woman accused of using fraudulent identification to steal a package containing high-value items.
Today, police released a picture of the person they're looking for.
Investigators said the grand larceny happened on March 23 around 5 p.m. at the FedEx Shipment Center at 270 Express Drive South in Melville.
According to officials, the woman used a fake ID to pick up a package containing $19,000 worth of silver bars and coins.
She fled in a white electric Chevrolet Equinox, according to police.
This is the second time in five months that this FedEx was targeted by an alleged thief using fraudulent means.
In March, Suffolk County Police Crime Stoppers released a picture of a woman they were seeking for grand larceny last fall.
That package contained a watch valued at $4,650.
Suffolk County police were not able to tell News 12 if these two incidents could be connected at this time.
Investigators are offering a cash reward for information that leads to an arrest in last month's incident.
Anyone with information can contact Suffolk County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
