Witnesses: Multiple teens struck while riding on moped in The Bronx

The crash occurred near a fire station, and people nearby tell News 12 emergency personnel came to help the victims.

A crash involving a scooter and a car at 1800 Monroe Ave. left two teens injured and one fleeing the scene, according to multiple witnesses.
Six bystanders told News 12 that three people they believe to be teenagers were riding together on a scooter when they blew through a stop sign and collided with a car that had the right of way. The driver remained at the scene.
At this time, the FDNY has confirmed that at least 1 person was injured in the crash.
One female from the scooter and a male were spotted on the ground, appearing injured. Witnesses say the third individual reportedly fled immediately after the crash and has not been located.
