FORECAST:
Rainfall totals are limited and will only be higher in some isolated bursts of rain as they move across the area. There will be windy conditions statewide today, where gusts inland will be between 15-20 mph. Coastal gusts will be near 30 mph. Temperatures are cooler - in the upper 60s - due to the clouds and showers.
The wind is from the east, onshore. The showers eventually lift north and impact northern New Jersey where clouds have lingered for the day.
Tonight's conditions feature a slow improvement with rain moving away. Clouds part by 11a.m. on Thursday and the sun will come out to warm up the region. Highs hit near 80 degrees.
Friday's highs are hot, near 86 degrees.
However, there will be a cold front that sneaks across New Jersey to drop temperatures into the weekend, reducing our highs to near 70 degrees on Saturday and Sunday.
The cooler weekend comes as we enter the next season on Monday - autumn begins at 2:19 p.m.
