Wienermobile surprises couple at 90th birthday party in East Islip
One couple is relishing turning 90 years old.
Dorothy and Arthur Weiner were celebrating their 90th birthdays in East Islip when they got an unexpected visit from the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile.
The iconic hot dog-shaped vehicle rolled up to the party sporting a 4-foot-tall birthday hat.
As part of the celebration, Oscar Mayer showed up with a two-tier "wiener" cake for the Weiners with over 20 hot dogs - and ketchup and mustard sprinkles.
The couple's granddaughter shared their milestone with Oscar Mayer and once the company learned that Dorothy and Arthur were marking the same birthday milestone as the Wienermobile itself, they knew they had to crash the party.
The famous 27-foot-long Wienermobile is also celebrating its 90th birthday this year. The rolling hot dog vehicle first hit the road in 1936 and has been delighting fans ever since.
The company says it has received tens of thousands of birthday requests since the vehicle first hit the road.
