A turtle was rescued on Wednesday after attempting to cross a Bronx highway.

Citizen video shows a bystander walking onto Sheridan Boulevard and scooping the turtle up before placing it into a bag.

The bystander then transported the turtle to Starlight Park, where it was safely released into the water.
