The City of White Plains held its Memorial Day Ceremony indoors due to rainy weather and honored the local lives who served and made the ultimate sacrifice.

This year, the city honored the late Daniel V. Kuruvilla, a proud army veteran who died at the age of 37 earlier this year.

His family attended the event, as a well as a close friend, who shared remarks.

The event commemorated a list of deceased White Plains veterans from May 2025 to present day, as well as a list of deceased revolutionary war veterans buried within the city.

White Plains resident and U.S. Army National Guardsman Vincent Finnegan Jr. was this year's marshal.
