The team recommends using calcium chloride instead of the typical salt so that pavement does not see damages in the future.

Another tip is that many hardware shops sell shovels with ‘back savers’ so you don not hurt your back and shovel the wrong way.

If you need to travel during a storm, make sure to always carry a flashlight and batteries, a blanket, food and water.
